Dan David Does Downtown

Tisha B’Av is usually a day of mourning and fasting—but not this year, thanks to this exciting Messianic concert scheduled on the same date!

(Hat tip: Jews for Judaism Canada)

Update: The concert has been cancelled, but Dan David still plans to perform on Tisha B’Av.

  1. The person who wrote this is a real horse behind. Dan David, a jewish boy raised in an Orthodox home in Israel, now travels and teaches Yahshua to whomever will listen. He reaches out to people in churches, synagogues and messianic congregations. Im sure the person that didn’t have anything better to do than to bash him and others is not reaching anyone with their great gift of love. And, probably wouldn’t dare get out of their comfort zone to go be a light.-Suzanne
If you actually knew what you were defending you would know that this is a “traditionally” observed day observed by Orthodox jews which Dan is not. This is not a day commanded by Yahweh to observe.

For the record, Orthodox Jews are not the only ones who observe Tisha B’Av. In fact, several liberal congregations in my city held a joint Tisha B’Av service this year—one I attended and found very meaningful.
